hi.i am 27 weeks pg with baby no.5 and at my last clinic appt on thursday my bp had gone up.i had PIH in all my previous pregnancies though it started later(about week 34)in the first 3.in my last preg my bp was high at 28 weeks but it did go back down after a few days and stayed down till week 34.
thing is,i was more able to rest then,as mt older children went out with their father every other weekend, and ds2 was 2 and slept very well at night so i could rest as soon as he'd gone to bed.
my older children dont see their father anymore, and i now have a 1 year old dd to look after as well.dp is great and helps out as much as poss, but its still alot harder work now than last time, and i am dreading the school holidays cos at least i could have a break when the others are at school/nursery but ive got 2 weeks of them all at home(which would do my bp no good even if i wasnt pregnant!)
i really dont want to end up on medication so soon in the preg.i was on in the last 2 times but just to try and control my bp till i could be induced at week 38.
does anybody know any alternative ways of reducing blood pressure??

I assume you've tried other things such as reducing the amount of salt in your diet. Is there any option to get your older children into a holiday club to cover some of the school holidays or could they visit relatives for a few days?

When you went on BP medication before did you have problems with side effects or is there another reason for your reluctance to go on medication?

I'm sorry I can't offer much useful advice.
