I could scream! I've got all the symptoms of pregnancy, my period is about 4 weeks late and still getting negative tests.

Went to doctors today but they were about as useful as a chocolate tea pot! They simply said wait another week and take a test. I asked for bloods and scan and they said no!!

My blood pressure is high from all the stress which surely can't be good for baby if I am pregnant!

What to do????

Is there anyway you could bypass your doctor and pay for either private early scan (from 5 weeks I think) or private preg test? Costs money I know though.

Have you tried different brands of tests?

Not much advise but feel your frustration!! I have had the faintest positive test. Totally not convinced either way.. And that's been only 24hours and I'm getting impatient!

That's pants! (Massive understatement)
I'm only 2 days late and getting negatives. Also going out of my head. Can't imagine what 4 weeks is like! My heartfelt sympathies, tho I have no advice. :(

Stress can make you skip a cycle, I went 95 days without a period, wasn't pregnant. Just hadnt ovulated.

I don't understand why you think you might be pregnant if tests say you're not. It's not uncommon to miss a period, particularly if you're stressed or if you change your diet for example. I think you need to believe the tests and wait for your period to arrive so you can crack on with TTC.

I think if you're 4 weeks late and tests are still saying you're not pregnant then it's very unlikely that you would be. You would be around 8 weeks by this point and pg hormones would be very high. You could try moving this over to the conception board and other people there might have experienced something similar.

This should be in AIBU

You are absolutely ridiculous for thinking your could get a scan or blood test. You are clearly so hell bent on getting pregnant your stressed therefore delaying period. The pregnancy tests you buy now are super accurate. If they say not pregnant. You are not pregnant. The symptoms you feel are symptoms of normal hormone changes before a period. Sore boobs, nausea constipation etc are all affected by progesterone. You need to calm down on the ttc stress before you do yourself some real damage.

I went 2 weeks over before I got a positive test. Is your period due again? You could still be pregnant just much earlier than you thought.

I'm confused ebristow on Sunday you posted saying you were 2 weeks late and now you're 4 weeks late. If you are only 2 weeks late then it's possible you ovulated later than you thought and there's a small chance you are pregnant but too early for tests to pick up. If you're 4 weeks late then that chance is very diminished I would say. It is likely your stress that's causing late periodm

I agree, this thread should be in AIBU. Doesn't sound like you are pregnant, sounds like delayed period because of stress and the normal hormonal side effects of that. If tests are saying you're not pregnant then you probably aren't.

I went this long without a period when I was ttc a couple of times.... It's stressful and upsetting but I think you need to believe the tests, as pp have said. They're really accurate nowadays.

What are your symptoms? You must be around 8 weeks if you are. I'm 9 weeks today and so sick and tired. I would definitely know by now without a test! You should have a really trying line by now?

My GP didn't bother with bloodwork even after 3 positive home tests. They took my word based on the fact that HPTs are pretty darn accurate when used correctly. Not surprising that with negative tests they wouldn't indulge you with tests/scans.

I can sympathises with your desire to be pregnant, but I think you need to take a step back and admit that you likely are not right now.
