Something to worry about or just some serious gas?

I'm only about 5 weeks pregnant with DC2 so very early days but keep getting horrible pains. At 1st just felt like constant light period pain which midwife said is normal, however yesterday and today I had really bad pain which made me come over hot and funny and nauseous like awful period pain in my back and stomach. I've had no bleeding and the pain goes after about 10 minutes or so (followed by a feeling of trapped wind and like I REALLY need to fart). DH says I had pain with dd but I don't remember it being like this, does anyone else get this???

I had pain so bad I had to grab on to something in Ikea to stop me falling over. I'd regularly curl up on the bed and cry it was that bad. After 4 days I called the midwife and they sent me epau for a scan. Everyone thought it either a ruptured cyst or an ectopic pregnancy. I was 6 weeks. Turned out to be wind Blush and I'm now 24 weeks

I had horrific sharp pains between 5-7 weeks, used to take my breath away and make me feel really unwell. They were like period pains but much worse! I also had a bit of bleeding around the same time so had a scan which was fine. When I told my MW at 8 weeks she said they were probably just stretching pains.

If you're concerned see your GP and they can send to to EPAU.

I had this around 5 weeks, it was the start of a nasty bout of gastroenteritis. Just what I needed. Hope it's nothing serious for you.

I had something similar at 6 weeks, felt like moderate contractions, I started to sweat like mad and ended up lying down in the work toilets after dry retching for a while- it lasted an hour or so and I thought I was MCing. I phoned the Dr and she thought it sounded like a UTI and advised me to drink absolutely loads of water for a couple of days- DH dipstick tested my wee on the day it happened and it came up positive for possibly having a UTI, but the one submitted a few days later to the dr was clear so perhaps phone your gp and up your water intake?

Thanks for your replies. I ended up in hospital Sunday and long story short I had to have keyhole surgery to remove my left fallopian tube where I had a large ectopic pregnancy. I'm home now and trying to figure out how I feel. I guess if anyone else reads this I just want to say no pain should be ignored.

sprite I'm so sorry to read your update. What an awful experience to go through. I hope you're recovering well and getting lots of RL support.
Very important point you made about not ignoring pain.
I do hope you have happier times in the future. Big hugs.
