Overdue & thoroughly fed up

Anybody else overdue, fed up and would like to share their moans tales of wisdom/tips/experience? Baby #2 was due Saturday, still no sign despite two false alarms where contractions have abruptly stopped. Have tried every old wives tale imaginable and frankly if somebody told me that popping a broom up my arse and running round the garden would get this baby out, I'd be willing to try it!!!

*FWIW, Baby #1 was a week late!

Full term is 37-42 weeks, so the 40 week due date is merely the midpoint of the 37-42 full term. So, once you realise you're not actually overdue but baby is getting properly ready for this world, and not coming on the exact midpoint of a 5 week range, maybe it will be easier to accept? Smile

Meeeee! I'm also waiting for DC2 to make an appearance, I'm 11 days over and beyond fed up. Just spaffed £15 on some bloody clary sage oil which has done eff all. I knew it was bunkum but you get so desperate you'll try anything

DD was 8 days over so I was expecting to go late this time, but not this late. I've also been in early labour since my first stretch & sweep on Wednesday and am 3cm but nothing is properly getting started.

Plus, DH has a rotten cold and DD has chicken pox. Argh!

My son was late, I spent three days bring induced because nothing was happening and I was waiting for a delivery room. One night the woman in the room next to me gave birth in her room (because there were no delivery rooms). My legs failed on me because I was so pissed off and jealous!!!
I'd quite like this one to be late as she's due Christmas Day but hope my legs don't get too depressed!!!!
Hang in there kx
