Hello... I found out on Thursday I was pregnant... I had very faint lines but a digital one confirmed I was pregnant it showed 1-2 weeks so very early! I woke up on sat morning and when I wiped there was blood.. We were referred to the out patient .. They didn't really do or say much just to rest up. The bleeding was heavy but not heavy enough to soak a pad in an hour.. So I stayed bed rested all day... Woke up and the bleeding had slowed down and I took another preg test just to see but this times the ones were Stronger and the digital one moved to 2-3 weeks! Me and my husband are really confused! I was wondering if anyone got advise or think it's a false positive?

Could be implantation bleeding. You could try to get into EPU and have them see if your hcg levels are going up - that's a good sign I believe. If they were to scan you I don't think they would see anything yet. We had suspected ectopic and had to wait till around 5/6 weeks to see something. Good luck xx

Thank you for your reply.. We called nhs24 yesterday referred to outpatient but the person we saw didn't do anything just told me to rest up.. We took test again like I say this morning and it was stronger etc so we called nhs24 and we spoke to a doctor over the phone who said he pretty sure the baby is still there and to go to the doctors tomorrow who will refer us to the EpU!

Thank you.. For the EPU do you need to go to the docs first and they refer you?

Just so you know, CB 1-2 weeks means 1-2 weeks from conception so you're already 3-4 weeks pregnant. Therefore if you're getting 2-3, you're actually 4-5 weeks pregnant. You count from the first day of your last period.

Often going to GP is a waste of time. Have a look online as most EPU do self-referral.

Good luck.

I think they normally try to from what I've read on here, but touch wood, I've not needed to have anything to do with them. It may depend from EPU unit.

Sometimes your body doesn't quite get the message not to have its last period and you can have a bleed, which is why some women get their dates wrong, assing it is a period.

Also if you've had sex, that make you bleed.

Keeping everything crossed for you.

Bleeding is common during early pregnancy. Bleeding with cramps is not a good sign. I think it is implantation bleeding. All the best for your scan and keep posting.

Thank you.. The cramping only lasted a few hours and wasn't anything painful.. We have booked in for a private scan as we are still unable to focus on what is going on... I'm booked in for tomorrow evening! So fingers crossed it's the news we want

Just a wee update .. Had our private scan yesterday and she confirmed nothing in the womb and it looks normal.. She said my body sorted it self out or I'm just earlier than the doctors think. Which makes me wonder cause my clear blue digital test States 2-3 weeks so many I am only 3 weeks I have no idea
