I keep getting pins and needles in my hands and really bad leg cramps. Is this normal and how can I stop it? Thanks.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is really common in pregnancy & would explain the pins & needles in your hands. It's worth speaking to your midwife who might refer you to the women's health physio to get resting wrist splints & some self help advice.

I suffered terribly with both.
Completely normal and not to be worried about.
Re. Leg cramps, bananas and tonic water are supposed to help.
Not sure they do! My symptoms peaked in 2nd tri though and 3rd
Wasn't as bad.

I've got unbelievably sore wrists and hands (I think I sleep with them in a funny position which is fine normally but seems to be upsetting them with all the softening hormones we have going on at the moment - could you be doing the same?). the doctor said helpfully, "you're not supposed to get this until the baby is 6 months old. thanks!!

anyway, he recommended sleeping in splints that go from the thumb up the forearm, you can get them at boots, so maybe try that and see if it helps?I am off to buy mine at lunchtime. I remember when I used to wear sexy underwear for the OH at night... sigh...!
