TMI (sorry in advance!!) As dry as the Sahara Desert...

Really sorry for a TMI thread...

But I'm finding my lady bits have felt very dry indeed for the past days. I went to my GP today (unfortunately not my usual one and a locum instead) as its getting beyond uncomfortable and to say they didn't really know what to say was an understatement!

Initially she prescribed me an intimate moisturiser, but then called me an hour later saying please don't use it, it's not recommended during pregnancy!!

I asked what else I could do and she literally said she had no idea, had I tried asking other pregnant friends about what use for it?! The only thing she suggested was to use a gentle lube like KY to help with intimacy but the problem is as I tried to explain to her, it's not just sex when it's uncomfortable, I can feel it literally all the time, even just with my underwear rubbing at the area!

I'm a bit worried as now it's starting to get a little sore and if I leave it like this, jeez, imagine the birth? It feels like there's no stretch down there at all, like everything's taut and like there's razors between my legs!!

Has anyone else had this during pregnancy? And what did you find that helped? Just really feels like I need to give the area a good glug of moisturiser or something....

No personal experience, but can you not periodically apply some KY jelly?
Your best bet is to as your midwife rather than your GP as they're bound to have more experience of this sort of thing.
