Did anyone find out the sex at 12w scan?

I found out I was having a boy with my first (8 years ago) at 12w.
I have my scan next week for this little one and was just curious if anyone else has found out.

I didn't at mine. And I think it depends a lot on position of baby at the time of the scan. We're you bang on 12 weeks last time? As you'll know that at this stage even a few days either way can make a huge difference for development.
Your 20 week scan will be much more clear what sex your baby is.

At 13+4, they were reasonably confident it was a boy. The sonographer showed us how things were changing from generic nub to penis. They had brand new machines and everything was far clearer with ds 3 years ago than with his sister 8 years ago.

We knew it was a boy this time around (Harmony test) which I told the NHS sonographer at the first scan. She said they won't even guess sex at the first scan as it's against policy (too much risk of an error, can't always see it at that point and she said they have enough hassle at 20 weeks where people get arsey if the baby isn't positioned well enough to tell the sex).

However, I was ahead of dates (14+6 rather than 13+6) and like the private sonographer, said it was bloody obvious from the scan he's a boy, even if we hadn't had the Harmony.

Even we could see it. He wasn't shy.

Yes. I had a scan privately at 12 weeks and they said they thought it was a girl - about 90% sure. They were right!

I had a private scan at 12 weeks and the sonographer was sure that I was having a boy - she was right!

My sonographer was 90% sure I was having a boy at 12 weeks. We chose not to find out officially before the baby was born - so it was a bit of a surprise when a girl popped out!
