something happening?

Am 36 weeks pregnant. Last few nights I have had painful contracts but nothing regular. Yesterday I felt terrible all day and this morning I woke up with a pain in the tummy and I have that funny dragging feeling before starting my period, feel dizzy and confused. This is my second pregnancy, so you would think I would know what was happening. I don't know whether to get checked or just get on with the day and see how it goes. I am booked for a c-section in 19 days.

I'd give the community midwife a call just to put your mind at rest. They might get you to pop across to pregnancy day care just to check but that's what they're there for! If you had a boy/girl last time I bet people are telling you that you're having the opposite this time "because you're carrying differently"?!
