Bloody hell, my skin hasn't been this bad since I was about 16! I look like a dot to dot! 15 weeks currently, is this likely to improve? Anyone else having pizza face problems?

Mine got worse for a bit, but has improved again - I'm now 36 weeks. My dr gave me some Duac gel. Not sure about at the early stage, but it can't really do any harm at my point of pregnancy. Definitely worth a go if it continues afterwards.

My other fave is Glamglow mud mask. Seems expensive but a little goes a long way & it's a miracle worker Imho.

Hi, I had the same issue and found a coule of threads on mn (can't find them now, on my phone) praising the African soap. Bought one off amazon but by the time it arrived my face looked bearable again.
Might be worth a try?!

I'm 13 weeks and have spots everywhere. My chest, neck, head, face, back. This is a nightmare!

Last time I had the most godawful skin. I looked like I had acne towards the end. I tried everything going (natural anyway, like soaps and drinking loads) and nothing helped. The midwife sympathised and said because it was hormonal there wasn't much to be done.

This time round my skin is excellent though which might not help now but shows it doesn't affect all pregnancies. Smile

Mine was dreadful until about 20 or 22 weeks but has been clear since, thank goodness.

I did have a sunny holiday and I think that helped more than anything. (It's going to be warm tomorrow!)

I had hideous spots with DC1 for several weeks (I'm zit-prone at the best of times). So bad they stick in my mind even now.

Didn't have them with the others, though...

Glad I'm not alone! I've ordered the black soap! I'll try anything. Has anyone found it happened with girl babies more than boys? I know it's an old wives tale but I'm still interested! :)

I've also had the worst spots of my life the last few weeks, mainly on my chin / either side of my mouth, and they are really painful and red..... Blush. I'm 10 weeks so hope mine don't take until 20+ weeks to clear up! I don't remember this last time around, but it was 5 years ago so probably wouldn't..

Will have to check out the soap option, and the mud mask.. anything worth a try!

I had terrible spots too in in the 1st Trimester, and now having a resurgence of it in the Third!

Found putting a couple of drops of tea tree oil in my moisturiser bottle stopped them from becoming too infected and horrendous. Tea tree oil is on the safe list for essential oils whilst pregnant
