Hiya all

to cut along story short, ive had 5mc's and was diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder.

Im now 21 weeks pregnant and despite being needle phobic (terribly) I have managed to inject myself daily with heparin, i have done this since week 4! It isnt getting any easier, it hurts like hell but Ill keep going, just need to be told what a good job Im doing Thats all. I know I should count myself lucky to get this far and Im happy, just feeling a little bit sore and like a pin cushion tonight x x

TIA xx xx

Wow that's good going! I know from my sister's experience with a clotting disorder and IVF that heparin is a particularly 'sting-y' jab.

well done
BIG for you 21 weeks is doing really well

keep it up, you can do it. I can't imagine having to do my phobia every day, for me it would be holding a tarantula daily

congrats on being brave

Poor you, nasty needles - labour will seem a doodle in comparison at least you don't have to inflict the pain on yourself! XXX

Hurrah! Well done for getting to 21 weeks....I had to have heparin (and steroids) for the first 12 weeks, it IS a stingy jab and the bruises were awful by the time I got to the end of it. So am very impressed.
And very glad its doing its job....I had 4 m/c, but with the steroid/heparin protcol have one dd and am 32 weeks tomorrow: hated both meds, but love the results!
Keep going you....xxx

Well done to you! I know how needle phobia feels, I've literally got to go for blood tests in about an hour and I'm really scared! Arghhh I haven't had an injection since I was a little kid and I'm dreading it really am. So you are doing great!

You are admirable...Honestly. As a mc sufferer I know what it's like BUT to to inject yourself for the sake of your ds/dd is amazing.

Keep it up. xx
