Need a moan. Feel so awful.

I'm currently 9+6.

I have had severe nausea and vomiting since week 6. I am on stemetil 3 times a day. It does nothing! I never feel better. It never eases for even an hour. I'm sick of it. Sad

No one takes me seriously. I get dizzy, sweaty and hot numerous times a day. I'm useless. I can't do anything, even showering makes me sick with the heat and the smell of soap Sad

Oh and the food I do keep down gives me horrendous trapped wind and upset stomach.

My hair is greasy, my skin is greasy and spotty and I have a headache all the time. I even wake in the night to be sick or with severe nausea.

Will this ever end? I never had this with DS and it's got to the point where my mental health is suffering. Sad

9+6 was the peak of my first trimester shite. I cried and cried all over boyfriend, who had been out on the piss the night before and was all full of beans when he'd come in at 4am - my missing out on going out started the crying, and it was still going on 5 hours later.

Having a massive meltdown seemed to help, and things cheered up from then on in... nausea got better, body sorted itself out a bit in general. So, chin up...

You poor thing. Firstly, I find stemetil useless, there are much better tablets available and your GP needs to give you something stronger to try. Secondly, if you are keeping nothing down and having headaches you may be dehydrated and in need of some fluids. Did the doctor check your ketones?

The hyperemesis thread has loads of support and great information, you should join us (27 weeks and currently a regular on there!) x

"Coping with hyperemesis", on this website has good suggestions.
Keep up the fluids like ice cubes in juice and try to relax.
Hope you feel better.

Thank you all.

My last pregnancy ended in a TFMR due to Anecephaly. I have a scan with a specialist on Thursday to check the brain and skull so I think the anxiety of that is making everything worse. And the guilt for being so pissed off with feeling this way.

Everyone else makes this pregnancy lark seem easy! Will check that section Retired thank you.

I had to avoid showers for about 10 days as even just warm ones were enough to make me feel faint with the sickness and dizziness (was on stemetil until 13 weeks and now back on it at 26). I found as annoying as it was to try to wash my hair in the bath I felt a lot better after it and was less likely to be sick. Maybe worth trying.
