Exhausted & Hormonal, how to cope with toddler..

Only 8 weeks but oh so so tired and so grumpy/irritable, serious lack of patience with 3 year old, poor love. Trying not to lose it too often but it's hard. Any good tips on how to survive pregnancy & toddler (yep, I realise baby + toddler will be harder!) and does it get any better? Will the anger subside in 2nd tri?

No tips bit feeling your pain! 3yo DS definitely getting more hormonal snapping than he deserves, it's horrible! I'm 9wks, so very similar to you!

I'm only 5 weeks but dealing with it by napping when DD (2) does and going to bed by 9pm. Screw the housework!

No tips but I'm following this too. 6 weeks here, feeling very well so far but not looking forward to the later stages. My DS will be 2 and a half when I'm due.

I'm 28 weeks now with a 3yo. I am tired again now and tend to nap in the day when not at work! But the 2nd trimester was alright. I still took dd places and had energy for it. She slowly started to understand I needed to go a bit slower especially as my stomach grew. She's actually a great little helper now! It takes time for them to adjust :) I was sick a lot in the 1st t and she was a bit scared of me then :(

glad it's going to get better... I seem to remember 2nd tri as lovely. Not feeling the love at the moment! DS is also very physical and still tried to climb all over me, my boobs are so sore, sometimes I shout 'no no no'! urgh.

Yep, napping when they do has got to be the key... screw the housework... erm looks nervously at pile of laundry about to explode.

My son will be turning 1 in a week and I'm 33 weeks pregnant!
The first trimester I felt sorry. I cried a lot because I was soooo tired and I couldn't spend a lot of time with him. He spend most of his day in the pram or travel cot..
Second trimester was better. I got to spend time with him
But now I have SPD. Braxton hicks,
It is hard but then I keep reminding me that it will be over soon and I can cuddle both of my kids without these stupid hormones

I don't remember any serious issues in the 2nd tri, I reckon it'll be better. I'd think about all the daily things you have to do and see if you can drop them or wait until your partner is home so you don't have to do it with DC in tow - I had to do this for the dog walks, with PGP, varicose veins, and general pregnancy tiredness taking him and DD out at once was just too much so I do it when DH is home. It's definitely helped. Plus not pushing yourself too hard.

I'm 31 weeks with DC2. I felt so annoyed and irritable with #1 for a lot of the first trimester, I just wanted to curl up on the couch and sleep! It did get better, definitely in the 2nd trimester. It's getting a bit hard again now in the 3rd trimester when I have to chase after her or get her on and off the toilet, etc., but the same intense irritation isn't there, and she also knows about the baby now so will accept that I can't do as much.
Congratulations, hang on in there, and get as much help as you can for now.
