Scared to death of scan

Hi ladies,

I had a mmc in feb, after a small amount of bleeding. Thought i was 11 weeks but told baby stopped growing at 9.
Since mmc my 4 periods have been really long, about 38 and 39 days. Im no pregnant again. According to one app im 7 weeks 3 days, the other im 9 weeks.
Im paying for a private scan tomorrow and am soooo scared that there will be nothing there, or they wont find a heartbeat again, or it will be too small to find a heartbeat and i will have to go back. I just dont know how i will cope. My lmp was 26 june, so do you think, whatever the dates id get a heartbeat tomorrow? I got my bfp on 2nd august.

Lozzy if your dates are right you'll be 9 weeks tomorrow. You should, if everything's ok, see a heartbeat on the scan.
Just think, there is nothing you can do now that will affect the outcome of the scan so distract yourself and try to relax. Easier said than done I know.
Thanks There was more than likely no real reason for your mmc last time and I'm so sorry you lost your baby but that was then and this is now.
No reason at all to think the same could happen, so don't.
Good luck x

Hi
Just in case the sonographer isn't familiar with your story, do quickly brief them beforehand getting on the bed re your history and how you are feeling. Sometimes (both nhs and private) can forget just how nerve wracking these things are for us, so you don't want somebody peering with wrinkled brow at the screen for ages before saying anything - that always makes me very emotional.
It also helps to have a friend / partner with you if possible.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
