Feel like I have a small bump but only 3-4 weeks pg...can that be possible?!

or have I just eaten too many pies today? Got my BFP on Monday saying 1-2 weeks, and already feel like I have a tennis ball in my pelvis...?! Is that possible or am I just imagining things? It's baby number 2, and I've heard you often show earlier but surely not this early? I am slim build, but nonetheless it feels very uncomfortable trying to hold my tummy in one of my normal office dresses...or is this just my excitement playing tricks on me? When did you start to feel "bumpy"?

It's probably just bloating. I would wake up in the mornings looking normal, but by the evening I looked five months pregnant.

Yup - I was really surprised by this too, but it's just bloating. I never suffered from bloating before I got pregnant but from very early in the pregnancy I looked very pregnant at times, especially toward the end of the day.

I have had my 12 week scan now and apparently I'm not housing an unusually gigantic baby - so I would say you have nothing to worry about. :)
Congratulations by the way.

It's most likely a bit of bloating and lots of excitement/anticipation.

Though I could have sworn with pg4 I had the start of a bump about 5 mins after POAS!

I think you might all be right - I think I'm a bloater Blush. Doesn't stop me stroking my bloat bump fondly.

Congratulations MarchEliza and Dances! It's funny, I didn't expect it to be so exciting second time round....but it is!

As well as bloat there is a slight rearrangement of your insides going on too - the womb moves up a bit and starts to grow before baby really does - thats what a gp told me first time, so you can get a slight bump, that only you are likely to notice.

But yes i think bloat definately plays a major part.

I literally swelled up between weeks 4-10. Then it went down. Then the real bump came. As PP have said, your insides start to move around and it both creates gas and affects your body shape.

I wish they'd mention this because for me the scariest was not the bloat but the fact it went down again for a while before the real bump appeared! Shock

Your womb doesn't move up that early though (not week 4 or 5) - that's more week 7 kind of time. It would be literally mm above your pelvis if anything.

It's wind. I felt like I'd been kicked in the stomach repeatedly by 6 weeks as it was trapped wind at that stage, and so big with the bloating people were asking me if I was pregnant already! I'm 13 weeks now, small bump when I wake up and huge 6 month bump a few hours after lunch!. Joy.

... Oh, and I'm having twins as well!

OMG, I hadn't thought of twins. Now I'm really excited/terrified! Probably unlikely though - no twins in our families sadly. however I can report that this morning bump was completely invisible.....however now I've had some breakfast I can feel my bloat baby growing Wink

I'm on baby #3 and needed maternity trousers by 8 weeks. I've definitely been bigger earlier with subsequent pregnancies. I think as soon as you get pregnant your body remembers and just changes shape!

I couldn't hide it at all!

DSis on the other hand is 20wks with baby #2 and doesn't look pregnant at all, but she had a washboard stomach whereas I have erm ... let things slip!

But then again my bump measures perfectly for dates so i don't think I'm huge. It just popped out earlier than it did previously!
