Nesting means I buy new curtains apparently

Second pregnancy, different house, same urge to suddenly buy curtains. Hmm

What's that all about? Why don't I feel the same compulsion to do something a bit more useful like more housework?

Anyone else get strange nesting urges?

Not sure if it's strange, but this is my second pregnancy, different house too and just had the overwhelming desire to re-caulk my kitchen sink, same as last time! Well first time I ripped out the old caulking to the bathtub as well, and was too exhausted to finish, so DH came home to half a job and had to finish it off for me Smile oops.

Yeah I needed to clean the hallway walls and hang up some new pictures last week.

Ladies, we have just had a new bathroom installed so I can pee upstairs! Mental, but very convenient!

I just made a trip to Sainsburys purely so that I could buy carpet cleaner. My carpets are fine. But it's good to have it, all the same...

Only had the nesting instinct kick in during labour (I think well past 24hours in). I suddenly has this really powerful need to clean the mantelpiece, as in really clean it -with a toothbrush. I didn't want the midwife or DH to think I was crazy so I quashed it as much as possible. Not sure whether this is nesting or just general wanting the house to be tidying but every night at the mo I'm going through each and every room sorting things out. Because it needs to be perfect. Perhaps when I'm done the baby will come.

I seem to have become obsessed with going on right move and looking at beautiful family homes locally that we can't afford and daydreaming about buying one. God knows what that is about. Wish I could do something productive like cleaning instead!

I had to jet wash the patio stones. Not sure if that was nesting, but feel so much better now it's done.
