Hi guys,
This is my first pregnancy and I'm terrified I'm either causing a fuss or having a miscarridge.
I am 6 weeks pregnant and have had mild cramps from week 4 - 5.5 with sore breast increased appetite, then the last few days no symptoms.
I went to the loo earlier and when wiping myself there was a red blood line on the tissue, no blood since but mild cramping.
I have no idea if this is normal, I have only earlier today informed my dr that I am pregnant and am waiting for a midwife to contact me
For first appointment. What shall I do?

Try not to worry. This happened to me Saturday. I went straight to the hospital to get it checked out. They were so helpful. I was sent to the early pregnancy unit who examined me and got told to go back following day for a scan. How heavy have you been and was the blood bright red?

I would phone the out of hours number and ask their advice. I did this when the same happened to me. I was sent to the out of hours doctor and to the epau a few days later. Sadly my pregnancy ended in miscarriage but this isn't necessarily the case and you could easily be fine. Take care and best wishes.

It was literally one line on the tissue and a tiny spot the time after, no pad needed and no sign in my underwear.
It was red blood as if fresh from a cut.
It's so scary I don't know if I am making a fuss or if I should be making more of a fuss callings dr

I think this is one of the times when it is fine to make a fuss, much better than worrying at home.

Sorry to hear this OP - you aren't making a fuss about nothing and it would be a really good idea to get checked out, for your own peace of mind if nothing else.

It's a good sign that there's been no more blood. Hope everything's ok for you.

Try not to worry, I had this - bleeding and cramps - and all was well, although I did call my doc in a panic and go for a scan. Call your clinic or ooh place to get checked out if it will put your mind at rest.

Hope all's well!

If your worried you can go to a&e or your gp if your less worried.

I was bleeding at 6 weeks too and I have a very lively 3 year old girl.

Best to get checked asap though.

I was exactly the same I was in two minds whether to go or not but I have had a previous miscarriage so went with my gut instinct to get checked out. The cramping I've been told is normal as long it is mild, but if it was me I would be concerned about the bleeding and cramping. I don't want to worry you but think you should get checked out for your own piece of mind. All pregnancies are different and some people do bleed. I can fully understand your worry as it's your first. Give the out of hours number a call and see what they say. Hope it goes well.

I had bright red blood when I woke up one day and pink spotting between 6 and 7 weeks. Now I'm lying here being beaten up from the inside by a 24+ 5 week baby boy :)

And my doc booked me for a scan for 6+5, the earliest they do them here, and I saw a lovely little heart beat!
