Flaky dry nipple

I'm 10w. Never had breast issues before but now my right nipple is quite uncomfortable and feels really dry. It is also flaky and looked chapped. I've applied lanolips ointment. Is this something others have experience? I'm putting it down to pregnancy but if I wasn't pregnant id be concerned as breast changes can be sinister.

I'm 30wks and have a similar patch on the side of one nipple that like you had I not been pregnant I would be concerned... I've been putting aqueous cream or vaseline on it which helps but am just keeping an eye on it at the moment

Mine have done this intermittently during each of my three pregnancies. Currently 35 weeks with dc3 and both nipples are very itchy, dry and flaky. Seems like they are shedding skin like a snake! (Yuk)
I can't remember what stage it started- definitely in the first trimester though.

Keeping them moisturised helps, as does taking my bra off as often as I can!

I had it at around that stage. Realised when I went bra shopping, grim! Have been using bio oil/any moisturiser to hand and it's recovered.

I've had this and they were soo sore! I tried every oil, cream (even HC45 cream) and nothing worked, then went on holiday and hey presto, it dissapeared. Came back and it returned.... worked out Ambre Solaire After Sun was the magical healing ointment lol! Now use that as my moisturiser and no more problems. I think it must be the Aloe Vera in it :)
