Just needing a whinge

No need to respond, I just need a vent and don't want to burden friends and family.

A few weeks ago I posted about feeling guilty about how much tv dcs 1&2 are watching. I'm 34+5 and absolutely shattered. Some very helpful posters offered advice on activities we can do sitting down but we've pretty much exhausted them. To top it off my spd is getting worse and I've had an uncomfortable vulval varicosity which feels worse the more I have to move around. To put it simply, I feel like crap and have no one to call on right now to take my dc so I can sleep. DH is great but is the only earner so works really hard. I just feel awful and needed a moan.

I actually feel better for having written it all out. Catharsis, I suppose. Thanks if you read all this, but like I said I'm not looking for responses as such, just a whine! Smile

BrewCakeThanks

Not a response! Ds2 (1) has just woken up from his nap and is watching Peppa (again) while I mn. I'm being lazy. You most certainly aren't. Hope you feel better & get some sleep (catch 22 I suspect).

If you can't whinge here, where can you?

Whinge as much as you like ! Remember it won't last forever ! And who cares if you dcs watch TV a lot at the moment it won't hurt as I've said it's not forever. Give yourself a break you sound like you're being far too hard on yourself.

Can I whinge too?

I'm 40+2 and it takes effort to do anything. I wore DS out this morning with a toddler group for 2 hours, followed by 1.5 hours in the park. We've been watching tv since we got back, about 2 hours ago Blush

Can you direct me to your sitting down activities thread, OP?

Thanks all. Smile beela, I'm really sorry, I've had a look but I'm on my mobile and can't find it! There was a lot of playdoh/lego/painting suggestions which just reminded me that we owned those things and I didn't always have to be "doing" the entertaining iyswim? hope you don't go too much further past your due date! kinda hoping to go a wee bit early myself... Wink

Not to worry. We've just spent an unexpectedly successful half hour making a drum kit from the contents of our recycling bin and various bits of kitchen equipment, and DH will be treated to a 'music show' when he gets home from work Grin

Television is back on now, of course.

The last bit drags, doesn't it? Hope you get a nice (slightly) early arrival Smile

37+1, after 2 knackering but lovely weeks at home with DD (aged 2) she went back to Childminders today. She hasn't had her nap today & as a result is a shit. counting down minutes til DH getting home. peppa pig back to back since 3.30pm. she whinges at the end of each one... you'd think she'd realised by now it's only a few minutes to the next one. I feel so guilty but I am just SO tired. Only 6 days til induction. Grin

Don't be an asshole to yourself. The fact that you CARE how much tv your children are watching means you are a really good mum. It's not forever. Don't put ridiculous demands on yourself to be mother earth right now you're HEAVILY pregnant with some other shit thrown in for good measure.
