Pregnancy

1st trimester symptoms stopping.

How quickly do the symptoms from the first trimester stop? I'm 12 weeks but haven't had any symptoms for a few weeks now. My scan is on Monday and I'm getting a bit worried that I've had a missed miscarriage. I've had 2 mc in the past but have always bled when it happened. I've had 2 successful pregnancies too but I don't remember the sickness stopping this early.

I'm 10 weeks and other than some round ligament pain, a few headaches and sore boobs, I'm back to normal (well unless you count the 12 hours sleep every night) Everyone's pregnancy is different. Around 10 weeks tho the placenta takes over more of the work and that's why your symptoms have lessened.

I'm sure everything is fine.

Mine stopped at about 9 weeks. Had scan this week, all is well! I'd say don't worry but you will because I was thinking the same thing and was terrified before my scan. Turns out I'm actually about a week further along than I thought so technically my symptoms stopped at 10 weeks rather than what I thought was 9.

Similar story here, my symptoms stopped about 2 weeks before my scan and I was terrified of getting bad news. But the second the sonographer put the thingy on my belly (dont know the technical term!) there he/she was, arms waving about and everything. I was also further along than I thought at 13wk +1 so my loss of symptoms could coincide with the placenta taking over. The day after my scan I came down with the most horrendous cough/cold/body aching and I was soon reminded that I was pregnant. I'm now 14wks + 4days and just starting to feel better but my skin is absolutely terrible.
I kept sane by telling myself there was more chance of things being ok than going wrong but it was still such a nervous time. Good luck for a lovely healthy bean Monday xxx

Hi OP, I read your post and did a double take coz I could've written it myself! I'm 11 weeks and also have my scan on Monday. I've also had a mmc so completely understand your worries. My symptoms started to improve from 9 weeks and felt completely better by ten weeks. Not even feeling that tired, just sore boobs- it's very unnerving :-/ let me know how your scan goes!

My symptoms began to be less intense at 10 weeks, I'm now 11 weeks. I still havemassive bloated tum and boobs still huge but I have felt much less nausea as the days have gone on and it's less full on when it comes. I am not as exhauste and really felt back to normal when I woke up this morning like I have actual energy.

I know how you feel as I had MMC at 10 weeks so it's very hard not to worry but it's more likely to be the placenta taking over than something bad. I know it's hard to believe when it's happened to you. I hope you can take some reassurance from these posts. My scan is not till 12+5 and can't come soon enough!

I bought a pregnancy book that arrived yesterday and was DELIGHTED to see the 10 week page talking about placenta taking over and symptoms easing. I have read that page 3 times just today helps me not go batshit crazy Wishing you strength for the wait till your scan.

I've lost all symptoms now except sore breasts, and am 11 weeks. My scan isn't for another 2.5 weeks and the wait is killing me!!

Quick update - I've started bleeding. I'm very worried but sometimes people bleed and still have healthy pregnancies so hopefully I'll be one of those cases. Scan couldn't come quick enough.

Oh strawberry, I hope it's not bad news for you. What you've said about bleeding is true, and others have already reassured you about the loss of symptoms. Hopefully it was a sticky bean and everyone is fine, but we are here for hand holding if needed. Thanks

Thanks wispa, I've stopped bleeding so hopefully that is a good sign, and no cramps either. My scan is tomorrow afternoon so i'll know what's going on then.

Everything's fine, from what the sonographer could tell there was no problems and everything looked good. I'm 12+6 and so relieved!

Good news strawberry!

I had my scan yesterday too and the baby looks well :-) So lovely to see him/her looking like a little person!

Turns out I have a bicornuate uterus which can lead to some complications with pregnancy. I probably shouldn't do too much internet searching but it's good to know what you're up against :-/ I'm a teeny bit disappointed coz I want to throw myself into planning and dreaming about our child but I'm holding back now because if I still miscarry (which is a possibility) it'll be harder to go through :-(

Thanks everyone, it was such a relief to see my tiny baby floating about happily.

I'm really sorry to hear that hevava, that must have been awful to hear. Will you be monitored much more closely?
