When could your DP feel the baby move?

Can't remember at all from the last time when he could feel DS moving! I'm 18 weeks now and movements are getting stronger, just wondered when DP should be able to feel it moving as well?

Think it's very variable. Erm, am 26 weeks now and during the last couple of weeks probably? But then this one's not a wriggler (the previous two were, but can't remember).

About 21 weeks I think with DD1. Only 13 weeks with DD2 at the moment so we've still got a while to wait Grin.

About 21 weeks here. Now at 28 weeks he keeps moving away from me in the night as baby kicking into his back keeps him awake. 'errr tell me about it!!'

I could feel dcs moving at 15 weeks myself with all four of them.

Dh would never feel my bump! It made him feel physically ill which I always thought was a shame.

He felt them once at 19 weeks and once at 20. But they still aren't regular enough for him to reliably feel them.

21/22 weeks, both times.

Now at 30 weeks it doesn't stop when he puts his hand on my tummy. This one is a wriggler!

I felt bubbles from 19, and proper movements from about 21/22. DH finally felt first kick on Friday at 23+6, I am so pleased. He put his hand square on my bump and "whack" baby greeted it's Dad with one big kick!!

Eeeek. Haven't described DH as "Dad" before!

Around 20 weeks I think. That's also when movements became visible from the outside too.

Eeeeeeeekkkkkk!!!!! I'm so excited! I'm 18 weeks too and I didnt realise it could be so soon as most have said around 20-22 weeks!

So exciting feeling movement, cant wait for my husband to feel it too.

24 weeks with both of mine. This one usually stops as soon as he puts his hand on my bump though!

About 20 weeks when he first felt it! Maybe could have done a little earlier but never timed it right!

Really? You've all got me worried Confused - I'm 20 weeks and can't even feel it myself yet. I thought you'd all be saying your DP could feel it move many weeks later than this! Hmm

Is it your first RaRa? Can take a while to feel it with the first one, I can't remember feeling DS move much until after the 20 week scan.

I wouldn't worry (although I know how easy it is!), you'll soon start feeling some big kicks.

I honestly cant remember who could feel what, at what stage with my 3 previous pregs, but they were a while ago. I have heard that with first preg.s you don't feel as much so early. Then with subsequent preg.s you feel more, much earlier (something to do with your tummy muscles being thinner)

With this preg DH i felt movement at 19/20 weeks, and DH felt his first proper kick at about 22 weeks.

(now at 39+6 we both sit and just watch (in fascination) the weird kickings and rollings going on under my skin and clothes without needing to try to feel it Grin)

It is, Kiwi, yeah. I'm terrified there's something wrong because everyone on here seems to have felt something by my stage! I don't have an anterior placenta either, and I'm really slim so no fat to get in the way. Crapping myself for my 20-week scan on Thurs :-/

PenguinsDontEatKale · 20/01/2014 21:07

Round about 20 weeks is perfectly normal even if there is not an anterior placenta RaRa so try not to worry. It'll probably happen soon after the scan.

I'm pretty sure I felt my first flutters with DS just before my 20 week scan, and my cousin hasn't felt anything yet and she's 21 weeks...so you're not the only one! Once you start to feel them you'll probably progress straight from flutters to proper kicks, proper kicks are the more exciting ones!

Please don't worry though, I'm sure everything is fine :)

Hey Rara. I didn't feel my little man move till I was 22 weeks and that's was only little flutter movements, didn't feel any proper movements till a few weeks later.

My partner didn't feel bubba move till I was about 25 weeks. He was a late starter but now doesn't stop moving hehe x
