Time between bloody show and labour (poss TMI!)

Morning all!

I had a pink tinged show last night, and a heavier brown tinged show this morning. I think this might be the "bloody show" they talk about, rather than just a bit of plug.

I'm only 37 weeks and DS1 was pretty much on time. A quick google tells me that this show indicates labour will start in the next few days. I'm not quite ready!

What's your experience? Could it still be weeks until we meet baby? I'm happy with that, but would like some indication. Hospital bag isn't packed yet!

TIA.

20hrs between show and birth for dc1 (enough time for DH to fly down south for work & back & enough time for lunch with the girls & tesco shop!) but be prepared for quicker as its not your first! Good luck!

Well I had my show about a week ago and I am still here Sad so I think it just depends on your body and baby x

Had a pink tinged discharge in the morning and then lost my plug 12 hours later, waters broke 30 mins after that and baby born 1.5 hours later.

I would get your bag packed to be safe. Doesn't necessarily mean you will end up going into labour as others have said each person is different. But I also didn't think it would happen so quickly x

Had a bloody show 6 days ago and have been gradually losing plug for about 3 days. I'm 6 day's overdue and have no labour signs. First dc. It could still be a while for u.

About 10mins for me too. Show at around 4am, DD born at almost 1pm. I'd make sure you have you're hospital bags to hand if I were you!! Good luck.
