Thanks yogafan My tum was getting big and my mum commented on it, I just told her I was feeling really bloated and she just looked at me with 'that' face. Of course once she got over the shock (and believed me) I said see it's not all fat some of it is actually because there is two in there! She didn't say sorry but is overly excited (and a bit worried bless) so I'll let her off.

Oh PinkApple86 my DP wouldn't do it with me either I wouldn't' even ask him haha.

I got the Tara Lee pregnancy yoga DVD and do it at home. it's really good and has lots of different sessions on it. Even a partner work section but I can't get dh to do it with me! (yoga is for ladies apparently). The little one loves it too as he kicks about loads (or maybe hates it) grin

Ha, I saw your post on another thread, discovering there were two in there! Seriously amazing. Congratulations. I'm secretly hoping for twins as my tum is so big (prob just bloat though, and it is my second time round)...

Just to second the francoise freedman book, and also to add 'mothers breath' by uma dinsmore tulli. You'll prob be fine just with the one, but if you wanted a second 'mothers breath' is lovely. Enjoy x

Thank you so much for your reply smile the first link is a book I was looking at on ebay so will go for that one.

I am the same as you then smile never done it before but wanted to learn these things for same reasons. Also feel the same with the classes. I did really enjoy them but its just gonna add up so much and think I can do this at home.

I was in a similar predicament as you. Went to a PG yoga class a few times but didn’t feel the class and the transport there and back was worth it. We do some breathing exercises and very gentle stretching but nothing out of the ordinary and to be honest we spend a lot of time talking which whilst it’s good to hear about other people’s symptoms, it’s not doing much for me. I’ve since bought a book and a DVD online which work better. I can practice at home or at the gym without deflating my wallet each time!

Just so you know I’m not in any way shape or form an advanced yogie. I’m doing yoga because I’m keen to learn about breathing for labour, easing backpains, stretching and relaxation techniques. Here’s what I bought which I’d highly recommend.

Hi all, was just wondering if anyone can advise me on a pregnancy yoga book that is good. I'm only 12 weeks but have suffered with bad back for years and hope this will help. I've been for a one on one session and to two classes so far which I have enjoyed. However, as the class is in the eve after work I go straight there and don't get home until 8:30 so am out from 8:30 in the morn till 8:30 in the eve. The class is £10 for an hour and half (which I don't mind paying) but the parking has been costing another £5 a time. This is going to be end up costing a fortune! I'm now thinking that as I have a (very small) idea of what is involved maybe I could do it at home with the help of a book or even a DVD and go back to the class when I'm about 30 weeks?

Like I say any advice would be great smile
