My friend is pregnant. She already has a boy.
Another woman at her NCT group is also pregnant, she has a girl already.
Mother of girl says to my friend "oh I feel for you. Its so much easier for me as I'm in a win win situation"
Friend asks what the hell she's on about. "Well I already have a girl so I win if either way whatever I have. You've got a boy. What if you have another"
Gobsmacked Shock

I don't think she got around to hitting her, she was too busy picking up her jaw which had hit the floor. No the other women wasn't joking and was that blunt. My friend just replied she could think of nothing better than having another little "Fred".

Would've been tempted to say "oh, you think having another little ratfink like you've already produced is a winning situation, do you? Wanker!"

But I'm confrontational and rude.

My friend has just had a gorgeous baby boy, her second, and all a 'friend' of hers could say was 'at least my husband proved he was a real man and was able to give me a girl as well as boy'. When my friend asked her what she meant, she said 'they can only prove they are a real man if they can produce a girl!!!'

Unbelievable!!!!!!

There really are a load of strange folk around. Even if you think it, do you really need to say it?

As long as the baby is healthy does it matter what sex it is? Its a gift to be able to have kids.

facinating how weird people can be. never had any comments from people, the odd 'psychic' prediction from friends and relatives but no-one could really give a rats arse what i'm having as long as it has 2 arms, 2 legs, and is healthy!

When I had a ds after a dd I had a lot of people saying "ooh, your family is complete now, you don't need to have any more." I wasn't planning on any more anyway whether I'd had a boy or girl.

I agree, it#s hateful isn't it? Round here it seems to be that boys are the more desirable. A couple of "friends" from work said to me when I went back to work after DD that I would get lucky the next time and have a boy! Shock!!

shocking...and revolting
I use another site where there is a boy or girl board
They all want (quote) ' a pink one!!'

These comments are unbelievable!
Seems to me that each pregnant woman should be issued with one of those fat orange Tango men who could slap people for stupid comments and touching your bump!

MrsBadger · 21/04/2006 11:47

what a good idea - they could carry your shopping too... and push dc1 in the buggy - brilliant!

am writing to my MP to have them issued immediately to all pregnant women!
