My mum has a few, very small stretch marks after two children, I however despite having a tiny baby (dd was 5lb 9) am absolutely covered, my stomach looks like a roadmap, they go all the way up to my belly button....I do suspect the craving I had for kitkats has maybe something to do with it though! lmao

I asked a surgeon about this once. It's just the luck of the draw apparently--some people's skin is more elastic than others, although how much weight you gained in pregnancy and how fast you put it on can make a difference.

Has anyone else noticed that famous people don't get them???

I think theres some ultra expensive hidden cream or something they don't tell us 'mere mortals' about???

Or maybe it's make up/airbrushing...Wink

My stomach looked like a relief map of Birmingham after my first - and I have more added to them with my second, despite being 41 weeks pregnant and only having gained a stone!

i'm not suprised, she's so tiny any extra weight is bound to put a lot of strain on her skin.

My mum didn't have them - she only got to 34 weeks when pregnant with me (pre-eclampsia & C-section) and 37 weeks when pg with my sister, so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

I didn't have any until 38 weeks with DD - they literally appeared overnight!!! I swelled up loads and they suspected that I might have pre-eclampsia, but I didn't.

I now have the world's saggiest tummy and also have stretch marks on the tops of my thighs and the backs of my knees!!! My boobs escaped though!!!! (Phew!!)
