Hi all,

My last cycle was 25 days, before that is was 30 days so was expecting my period some time last week.

Got feint positive on 4 frers from fri last week till Monday this week.

Woke up this morning and have started to bleed red blood. There is no pain or clotting. I have back ache but my boobs are no longer sore.

I rang the early pg unit and they said if I get cramps and it gets heavy and clots then come in.

I tested this morning with a cb digi and it came up not pregnant so should I take this as me miscarrying. :( :( I have very light mild cramps now

Any advice or help would be appreciated

I'm afraid it does sound like a chemical prgnancy. I'm sorry Sad See how you get on, but a loss at this stage should hopefully be no more physically traumatic than a heavy period (emotionally it's another story though). Maybe test again in a week just to be sure that everything is clear?

The 'silver lining' (if that's not insensitive) is that some people apparently experience a spike in their fertility the month(s) following a CP. I hope this is the case for you.

I'm really sorry - I had exactly the same experience and it was a chemical pregnancy (which is an early miscarriage - I felt bereft that no-one else would see that until my midwife said it!).
However as MightBeMad said it obviously didn't affet my fertility as I fell pregnant straight away after. So sorry.

Thank you both.

I will just take it as a CP. There is nothing I can do about it so just wait to try again. If it's not meant to be then it's just not.

Very sad situation to be in but out of my control.

The lady at the early pg unit said not to come in unless I have cramps and clots etc. I feel I am just having a normal period now so do I go there or not or will I be wasting their time as I know I am no longer pg and has been confirmed by a test?

When can you start to ttc again?

Thanks x x

Mummy, all the advice I received was that you can start ttc as soon as you have stopped bleeding and you feel emotionally ready. Some people prefer to wait for one cycle so that they have a better idea of their dates if they fall pregnant again immediately and I would suggest making sure you have a totally neg pg test on a FRER before trying again so that next time you get a BFP (esp if it is quickly after the MC) you can be confident it is a new pg and not hormones left over from the CP.

As for going to the EPAU, as long as you feel physically okay and have no pain, particularly heavy blood loss, clots or anything unusual like feeling faint, dizzy, sick or get a temperature (all very unlikely, don't worry, but I mention it to be on the safe side), then I don't think there's any physical need for you to go.

BUT if you think it would help you emotionally to have a scan and speak to someone and have it confirmed definitively that way, then by all means try to get yourself seen. I'd do whatever you think is going to help you feel like you can get through the experience.

I hope you get a sticky, healthy BFP very soon.

So sorry you're going through this Sad

There's nothing they can really do for you at this stage, rest and keep an eye on yourself, no need to go to hospital unless you're bleedig heavily or in a lot of pain. I was told soaking a pad an hour was when it becomes too much blood. I've been through a few early mcs and it's always been like a heavy drawn out period, physically it's not too nasty.

We got pregnant 2 months after, they say have a normal period first to let your body readjust, but I've known people start again straight away. Ots up to you how you feel.

good luck if you decide to try again x

I think we will wait to after Xmas to start again and just have a happy time instead of testing constantly.

I know its a very early pregnancy but we were so excited. Just going to stay positive.

I'm not in any pain have mild period like cramps and the flow isnt heavy so will just have a nice warm bubble bath and have an early night and will have a better outlook tomorrow.

I don't really want to to waste the epu time so I will just keep an eye on things.

Feel so drained. Thank you for being so supportive. X x x x

I was ok earlier then people's Announcements of pg and births got to me Sad

I'm gutted. I have to cancel my midwife app for the 31st but just don't want to do it yet.

I had a good old cry last night, it just hit me and felt a bit better after that. X x x thank you for asking x
