hi my doctor told me i was 8 weeks pregnant on monday, i started bleeding on weds night and went straight to a&e were i had bloods and tests done for ectopic my pg test showed up as positive all other tests were clear i had an internal and the doc said there was no clots and my cervix was closed, i was sent home and told to come back at 8-30am, i went back and had a scan the sonigrapher said i was 5/6 weeks not 8 as i expected and showed me the sac and the pole which was 2mm but was unable to detect a heartbeat, ive been booked back in for a scan on thursday the wait is killin me as im still bleeding so today i did a pg test and its still positive and very vivid which has lifted my spirits a lot im currently resting but it doesnt stop me worrying and hoping for the heartbeat to show up on thursday. Got everything crossed for you, I have a friend who had the same happen - she is still pg at 32 weeks and baby is fine. 5/6 weeks is poss too early to detect a heartbeat - think 6 is min. I hope it is a good outcome for you sweetie xx

Just wanted to send you some hugs, I'm so sorry sweetie, it's such a hard thing to have to cope with. I lost a baby at 12 weeks this time last year and it was devastating. Stay strong, I hope you have lots of support at home and do let yourself grieve. I fouind the miscarriage association very helpful and also boards for those who'd also been through this. take care xxxx
