Can you please tell me if you still have to have an injection during your pregnancy and at how many weeks? I think I had two last time at 28 & 34 weeks, but just can't recall for sure.

I was under the impression it's 28 and 34 weeks, but when I spoke to the midwife at 16 weeks she told me they give you one large bolus at 28 weeks instead. That might just be my NHS Trust though...

yep i was given one at 28wks then told they will test the baby once its born, depending on the outcome depends if I get another one after the baby is born. They used to give 2 up till last year, so most info you read on the internet will still say 2 injections pre birth

I was given one at 9 weeks as a precaution as I had a small bleed in week 8. They said I've got 2 more to look forward to during my pregnancy ;)

Thank you ladies. If they've changed it to just one at 28 w, I guess I better call & remind my mw to have the Anti-D ready for my next appointment. I'm a bit shocked that she's not even mentioned it yet actually. I suspect she may be a bit scatty ... not good.

I had one after amnio at 17 weeks and one after birth. (but I'm in Italy so might be different)

I've been told I'll have a big one at 28 weeks (with dd 3 years ago I had two although mw denies this was ever the case - 3 years ago it was, I checked). You also get one after birth if baby is rhesus positive. I'm under 100% consultant care as I'm having twins and mw had a rant to me about how rubbish the consultants are at remembering anti-d but actually it was one of the 1st things he mentioned.

Having said that, you'll also need them if you have a bleed - I seem to have a slight bleed everytime we have sex so I'm now guessing sex is out unless I want to be popping in every week for a dose of anti-d (which I don't - poor dh).
