where the hell do you find one to make you feel beautiful still and not a sodding black frumpy lump?

I want floaty, I want sheer fabrics & god damn it I want it to enhance under my boobs and reach to the floor to cover my short ass lovely stubbly legs! (pref around/under £30)

If I was pregnant during summer (due in 3 weeks), I would definitely be investing in some maxi dresses. You can't go wrong, they look gorgeous but are still comfy.

Actually, If you have a look in Primark they have quite a few different styles in- not maternity, but as most of them are empire line they should be fine with a bump- and cheap! Otherwise asos.com have a nice selection...

I was heavily pg last summer and wore maxi dresses
My best buy was a £20 job from Peacocks

Try Matalan or somesuch (after all you don't want to pay a lot for something you won't be waring after)

I was wondering if the normal maxi ones would provide enough room for the bump? what's empire line?

it seems a nightmare, it's summer for goodness sake - I don't want to be in jeas, trousers, t shirts or work tops - dresses and floaty lol.

(maybe I should design some!)

BTW they weren't maternity ones - maternity clothes make most normal people look like heifers, whatever their size or shape

how far gone are you? is there still plenty of room, I still have 20 odd weeks (baby willing) to go so need plenty of space without going up a size really as then it means saggy bits around the boobs.

best buy so far seems to be a top fro H&M which is quite long.

Empire line, means that the seam is just under the bust (think Romeo & Juliet style), so loose floaty material over mid-drift to accomodate bump...

I have a non maternity maxi dress I bought last year that I wore today at 37 weeks!! My bump is BIG and it still fits, admittedly was a little snug over the boobs...Grin

My SIL wore non-maternity maxi dresses right up until her due date. In fact, I'm sure she was wearing one on Sunday and she gave birth on Monday.

I just bought a gorgeous dress from jojomamman bebe, it's very girly and nautical, and all for £27, as it was reduced. It came with a gorgeous headband, very beachy!!
