Help me tell my family - where can I get 'grandad to be' etc. gifts?

Hey everyone,

We're planning to tell my Dad, my MIL, mine & DH's siblings, my grandparents about our pregnancy next weekend.

We'll visit my Dad & brother first, then on to my mum's to have a meal with the grandparents, then on to MIL's on the Sunday.

Anyone have any good ideas of how to tell everyone? I struggle with just saying "I'm pregnant" (Don't know why).

I was thinking something along the lines of giving them our scan pics in frames that say "To Grandad" or "To my great nan" etc.

Any other suggestions, or ideas about where I can buy the personalised gifts etc. would be fantastic.

We couldn't find anything so we decorated some mugs ourselves, then I made my parents a cup of tea, it was amazing watching the penny drop. I struggle with saying I'm pregnant too.

We sent father's day cards to "grandad" which handily fell around 10 weeks into pregnancy. I guesss it's a long time to wait though.

How are you with an icing nozzle?? Could you bake them each a cupcake and ice "Grandad" etc on each one?

As it is Easter soon can you get them an easter egg with Grandad etc. iced on? Thorntons will ice names on their easter eggs.

Easter eggs is a genius idea!

I'll get them Easter eggs & a scan photo each just in a normal frame - that'll be much cheaper than trying to get frames personalised and we'll be able to get their actual 'names' on them e.g Great Nan rather than Great Grandma.

Thanks for the idea.

I spent weeks even before pregnant trying to think of cool and fun ways to tell them but ended up being so excited when I was pregnant that I just phoned them up and blurted it out - kind of wish I had done the card thing though but would have had to wait till whole family together so no one upset t not being 1st to know
