I am 26+6 weeks preg with second baby. This pregnancy is very diff to first, I know this may sound silly but is alot of movement good? Feels like i have a footballer in me! Surprised at times by how baby can move so much. What are your experiences?

Other woman who have told me about their pregnancies (and a lot have as I work in a female dominated profession), have said when they had a LO who kicked lots during pregnancy they got an active baby post birth too :) looks like you'll have your hands full with that one. Grin

Although, I think I read somewhere that second pregnancies you can feel it more anyway. Wouldn't really know as I'm on my first and she only likes to kick early morning, late afternoon and mid evening, rest of the day I get to worry about her.

I have the same - this is my first and I am 26+5. For the past 6 weeks it honestly has felt like the baby rarely sleeps, it just seems to spend all day and night kicking, hitting and wriggling - often all at the same time.

I have also regularly been woken at night for the past 4 weeks from constant kicking which is getting much stronger at the moment.

Its favourite game is to kick the iPad off my tummy which makes it quite hard to type sometimes.. What is it going to be like when it's here??

My DS1 was a really quiet bay and didn't kick much at all, he never woke me in the night but DS2 was very very active and it felt like I had several footballers in there and he woke me up all the time.

I found that DS2 was calmed my playing music through my Ipod earphones onto my bump, he particularly liked Tina Turner Confused

Ohh interesting.. Mine seems to go into hyper mode when glee is on or music from les miserable (don't ask). It seems to just ignore women singing (including me) but maybe I should try classical music...

I really don't want to bring anyone down or scare them, but just be aware that too much movement could, very rarely, be a sign of a problem.

DS2 had doudenal atresia which meant his tummy wasn't connected to his gut so he couldn't process the amneotic fluid. He was very, very active and 10 weeks premature. He's fine now BTW.

I was huge and was told by consultant that DS2 would have been very uncomfortable, hence the activity. The build up of pressure in the womb accounted for his premature birth.

I'm sure everything is fine with all you LOs but just bear this in mind.
