Should I wait for the Jan Sales for baby kit?

Or get in there before the VAT rise? Do the main baby retailers (Kiddicare, Mothercare, Mamas & Papas, etc) do January Sales?

I'm wondering whether to do the big ticket purchases now (baby due in Feb) or wait for Jan and risk VAT rise on the products I want Confused

I have been having the same confusion...but to be honest, the vat increase is nothing unless you're spending a HUGE amount. On a £500 (exc vat) purchase the vat would be £87.50 now or £100 after the increase. You're really not saving much to buy before and I am pretty sure a lot of the big stores will delay the VAT increase to the customer to make it seem like we're getting a bargain. Couple that with the new 2011 stuff being in stock and stores wanting to get rid of the 2010 stock in January and we're onto a winner!

I think I am going to hold out till the sales... not least because I'll know if ours is pink or blue then too.

Happy shopping!

So many pre Xmas sales on now I would start and spread it over the next few weeks, months.
