39 weeks - weird sensations (possible TMI alert!)

I've checked the forums and can't seem to find anyone has already asked this question but wondering if anyone else has ever felt this odd sensation that I've been having for the last 2 days:
I'm 39 weeks and everything so far is indicating that baby is in right position and facing the right way etc and head is engaged which is great, so hopefully (fingers crossed, it will all get started naturally etc...)

For the past 2 days I've been feeling this weird kind of bubbling sensation low down in my pelvis kind of where the bladder is - it feels a bit like gas rumbles, but with no 'follow-through' (i.e. farting)best way to describe is like little bubbles like when you pour a glass of fizzy pop or something. It comes and goes and lasts for about 10 seconds each time, not painful, just really odd!

Has anyone else felt anything like this?? Some reassurance would be fab! thanks ladies Xxx

I don't have any experience of this but must admit I'm curious to know what it is too. I'm sure someone will be along soon with an answer.
Good luck btw, sounds as if you're nearly there!

I think I felt the same thing, like my babies were tickling the inside of my cervix - very strange sensation, they were both head down, and felt it from around 28 weeks I think.

thanks for your replies, I was kind of hoping someone would say that it could mean that me cervix was starting to thin etc, but apparently the initial dialation of the cervix itself cannot be felt?! very odd though, probably is just wriggly movements like ya'll say.

aah thanks Needtosleepzzz this week is feeling like the longest ever and I am floating between feelings of impatience to get it all started, and crapping myself with thoughts about actually being a mum!
