I started potty training my LO just before his second birthday as he was already doing poos on the potty and wanted to wear his pants.
It went brilliantly and after a fortnight he'd got the hang of things.... this was back in February.
But six months on I'm losing my mind with his wetting... its most of the time. He wets through his pants and trousers constantly. He does it on carpets and the sofa... he just lies down on his front and goes.
I can't cope with the constant changes of clothes, washing and scrubbing upholstery!!! :( :(
It's gone from him doing every wee on the potty (and asking to go) to not managing to do one in the potty on his own accord.
Its been going on for about two months now :(
At first I did my very best not to reprimand him, just reinforced "never mind, next time do your wee wees on the potty or toilet" etc but it's gotten so bad, gone on for so long and seems so deliberate that I'm starting to get cross with him! :( He knows (and can tell me) where he should do his wees and if I find a puddle and ask him what it is he tells me. I'm convinced he knows what he is doing... and it doesn't happen so frequently with his Dad or Grandparents.
I've started a star chart for his behaviour in general and I've tried to use it as an incentive for him to go on the potty but it isn't working too well.
I'm pretty resilient but I really am getting to the end of my tether and I'm even tempted to put him back in nappies at 2 and a half but I know this will probably be a mistake.. I'm just out of ideas (and patience!)
Any advice, mums?? :(
