Potty training

Accidents every time we leave the house - help!

I started potty training DS (just turned 2) a couple of weeks ago, as he was showing lots of signs that he was ready. We had a couple of days of accidents, but now he is pretty much trained when he is at home and also at nursery (the odd accident if i forget to remind him and he is really absorbed in something).

However, whenever we leave the house to go outside anywhere it all seems to go wrong! He seems to lose his sense that he needs to go to the toilet and only tells me once he has wet himself. He then gets quite upset, but once we get back home he is fine again. Its only when we are outside that this happens - he is happy to use his potty at friends/family houses.

Am I doing something wrong? I was wondering if the Big World of Outside is just too distracting for him? Or does he just need more time?

Any advice gratefully received!
