Potty training

Does potty training tire toddlers too?

Been potty training DD for 4 weeks now. Basically no pee accidents, using big toilet but we have poo issues and she won't go for 2/3 days and its an unholy nightmare when she does. She was a once a day girl. That's not the current question though, just background.

Since we started training her she seems totally exhausted. It is taking her ages to go to sleep which I assume is as she doesn't want to let go, but is probably only sleeping for marginally less time.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is anyone elses toddler exhausted and if so how long did it last?

Ds needed more sleep in the beginning. He'd get over tired more easily and needed longer naps. Think it's like learning any new skill- exhausting if you are immersed in it.

We are up to 2.5 weeks and it's getting better for both of us. :)

Thanks sleepy. DD seems to be slightly less flat but still not herself. Asked loads of folk and generally everyone thinks I'm nuts!
