Although my DS is only 23 mths and probably will be a while before we think about toilet training, I was wondering if anyone else is in the same situation. He has never been bothered by a soiled/wet nappy. Is this likely to change the older he gets and does it have any effect on how toilet training is likely to go?

Rathlin- Fear not, For us, it had no bearing at all. My DD is 25 months, and just decided to potty train herself, has just taken off nappy & started doing it all in potty.

She also wasn't at ALL bothered about a wet or soiled nappy, and would deny had even DONE a poo even though she CLEARLY had!

Good luck, I'm sure He'll do it in his own time. Ideally (as i was planning) The summer without a nappy in the garden is the way forward so i'm told.

Some also say Boys are slower to do it. Although i believe everything varies between children!
