I hate it's-so-simple training guides

Like the one of mumsnet which says 'The weeing on the floor can go on for a couple of days if not a week' - a whole week, gosh! And the diary of a training mumsnetter which has the child totally trained in 6 days, with no relapses or tantrums or problems.

These things - especially ones on sites that are supposed to be helpful, rather than trying to sell you stuff - really should come with a caveat explaining that it is not always this easy with all children, and you are not a complete failure if you're not done and dusted in 6 days - maybe even suggestions of what to do it if doesn't work out so well.

Grumble, grumble, grumble. Sorry - just had to rant!
