Potty training

AIBU to take a break from it all

Dd 3 has decided she is not going to the potty or toilet and has been wetting herself up to 20 times a day. It has got to the point where, our whole day just revolves around going for a wee, and is stressing both of us out. I have made the decision to take a break till the christmas holidays, unless she decides otherwise.

I take it she isn't at pre-school? I know our one didn't allow unpotty trained children so it def spurred us on to just get to it.
I found bribery works best and used charts and treats, if it helps use the potty yourself - we did and that worked. Have two potties side by side and go together, if you go but she doesn't then only you get the treat. She is 3 so very switched on about it i assure you, it's just a game and she is winning so maybe chill for a week or so then start again.
It's a very trying part of being a mom and i am so glad that part is over but believe me the next hurdle isn't far away and you want to be one step ahead of her in taking charge.
I wish you the very best of luck and let us know how it goes. Smile

oh god that's hard, sorry :( I had plenty of times like that with DS, not quite as bad.
Why don't you put her in pull ups, but carry on with potty / reminders / stickers etc?

I know it sounds lazy but there were days when I just could not face clearing up another puddle :o

She is at pre school, but they have been fine about her going in pull ups.
Have had rewards, stickers, chocolate etc. She is just being so stubborn about it. She actually said " I like wetting my pants" Confused
