I expect it will be quiet in here for a while with only four Martians born so far and it not even being March yet Smile

Those who have popped so far:
Coolhand
Dabarai

How's the little man doing, Lyra?

LO is still a little jaundiced, mw said if it's still apparent at day 14, they'll do an extended test at the hospital, so I'm quite concerned and hope it improves soon.

She's FF every 4ish hours and sleeping a lot, although I put this down to her being early.

I'm finally starting to feel more human after c-section and easing up on the drugs. Not sure when to attempt a walk or when to take missy out.

IceNoSlice · 26/02/2014 07:02

Found you! Hi all.

It's day 3 in the Ice house and milk is on it's way. Punchy boobs! DH is being fantastic with the toddler, bless him Smile. My big challenge will be when DH is back at work and DS's nursery hours drop down...

Hope everyone is well.

lumpylumps · 27/02/2014 20:08

Welcome to the other side ice!!!

IceNoSlice · 28/02/2014 03:20

Posting here as I don't think the expecting Martians need this! Lumpy, you mentioned fresh blood and heavy bleeding the other day. I've had this today. Not clots or dark red, but bright red and lots of it. Sodden pad.

I did go out for a walk yesterday (maybe a mile, max) and a child's birthday party today - and I need to pick up DS who must weigh a couple of stone. But I don't feel like I've overdone it. DD was born a week today.

Lumpy or others - any advice please? Is this something or nothing?

lumpylumps · 02/03/2014 21:46

Mine finally settled yesterday so day 9 but if I do too much, or anything really it starts again. When you say fresh is it bright red or reddy pink??
I found this when I was worried www.nct.org.uk/parenting/guide-blood-loss-after-birth
it's very informative and put my mind at ease.

IceNoSlice · 04/03/2014 03:50

Thanks for the link Lumps. I think I'll discuss with MW tomorrow to be on the safe side.

JustCallMeBaldrick · 04/03/2014 04:04

Found you!!
Milk's in, and DD has just slept in her Moses basket for the first time for 2.5 hours. I feel like a new woman Smile

IceNoSlice · 04/03/2014 04:06

Woohoo Baldrick! Funny how a couple of hours of sleep makes all the difference Smile

lumpylumps · 04/03/2014 15:47

Welcome baldrick!! Glad she slept and you're feeling better.
ice how's the bleeding? Mine ramped up again yesterday. We'd had a really busy weekend. I rested and its settled again today.

IceNoSlice · 04/03/2014 18:26

Weekend was pretty heavy TBH and I was a bit worried it was the stitches but mw checked today and all is good there - she discharged me. I did mention the bleeding but she said not to worry. Thanks for asking.

Dabarai · 04/03/2014 20:55

Hi, just thought I will pop in to say hi! Hi!

Thought I'd post since I was on the Martians thread many moons ago! DD born 2nd March @ 6lbs 7 oz, 4 days early ??

EmFlat · 06/03/2014 07:11

Hi all Smile

DS#1 born at 19:14 on 3.3.14, a measly 5lb 12oz, only 9 days early by EMCS after infection-risk raised by my racing pulse and high temperature during long labour.

Ice, thanks for your lovely comment about us choosing his name Grin... so many to thank on other thread, it'd take forever!

How's everyone getting on today? Day 3 proper here: still on the ward at the hospital (DS finishing antibiotics) so ridiculously miss DH, despite visiting hours being generous for partners, crying like a loon one minute then okay the next, really want to go home today. Otherwise grateful for my little Benedict Wink

lumpylumps · 06/03/2014 13:41

Welcome em sorry you're having a rough time. Day 3 seems to be one of the hardest. When do you think you'll be able to go home?
