And the one where Spotty's gang gets some sleep
And spotty, he may be having a fussy time and will come back to the bottle.
Hello Pidj - feel like I haven't seen you in a while. How's your partner doing?
This thread is almost full! New one here

Spotty, it freezes for 6 months. Keep it for making porridge etc when he's weaning
Argh ds has started refusing a bottle. What a waste of my milk too
So we're going to put DS into his cot in his own room for the first time tonight
He is too big for his Moses basket now and no room in our room for his cot. Have bought a baby monitor which DH has been playing with all night like a walkie talkie. Fx all goes well...
Good for you honey - bit jealous! But I've had my share (and am v grateful for them as there was a time it looked like we might not be able to have any)
I feel the same isthat - happy to be getting a bedtime and some evening back but I do miss her in the eve. Same as happy that she now sleeps in her cot but I do miss her next to me. At the moment I feel like I'm just trying to drink in and hold onto every moment because I know she's my last and I'll never have this again. Wish I could bottle it. Not helped by watching obem!
DH still at work and big 2 are having a sleepover at grannies - just me and sleeping dd3 - bit lonely!
The 8 weeks an 12 weeks ones didn't seem to phase him but the 16 week ones have really upset him.
DH and me have just agreed to start trying for number 2 at the end of this year...
DS2 went down in his Moses at 7.30 and he's still there. I will get him up when we go to bed and he will feed again and then go down. He's still up 2-4 times from midnight but he's definitely got the evenings sorted now. I know I should be greatful but it does make me very
to not be able to sit cuddling him.
I popped out to pick dd and ds1 up earlier and apparantly he started screaming the moment I left, so 25 minutes of pure screamy baby for DH. When I came back he did say 'how the hell do you deal with this all day?' and I do it while working too . So when I went to tesco for bread and milk I picked up a few cartons of formula for those moments. DH has also been completely
at how often DS feeds during the day, every 60-90 mins.
I hope your day got better utopian
honey I'm not looking forward to ds2s jabs. The big dcs weren't that bothered by them whereas he was really upset and didn't trust me for days after!
Gosh I'm tired, bedtime me thinks!
Poor baby honey - don't you just feel so awful knowing it's coming. Dd hers next week and even though she's my 3rd so been through lots of jabs etc, I know I'll cry. She was just crying getting ready for bed and I was welling up! Such a softie - and v tired!
Oh honey. I found C's jabs really awful too.
Another day of a baby who won't sleep except in my arms. Bit less crying though - and she sat in her bouncy chair long enough for me to prep stir fry for dinner. Good girl.
Very, very green poo
Been for 16 week jabs. 3 this time. D was very brave for the first one then when he realised it was happening again (and again) he screamed and had real tears and didn't stop
Utopian
it's awful when they get all upset like that isn't it. z was like that today - he just couldn't cope without me holding him, and I'm not much good at one handed bottle making.
We're out on a little excursion to the shops as it's a lovely sunny day although deceptively chilly. I finally posted my birth announcement cards - only 11 weeks after the birth... .
Utopian I thing you will the prize for shit morning, go have a big
and
and start your morning again.
Mine strangely improved when my friends very chaotic children found me in wetherspoons a bombarded me with lovely chaos, and didn't notice that F had been sucking the bottle so hard he had drank most of the milk and fallen asleep from exhaustion! At home i normally add the gaviscon at the last minute, havent been out much with FF (normally rely on bf) so will have to bring it and mix it when he needs it. BF while out as well which cheered me up.
He is asleep now, and I'm tackling the epic laundry pile.
Morning is going from bad to worse! Knocked a bottle on the floor and had to clean up while O screamed like he'd been abandoned for life.
Then dropped my phone and broke the screen which will cost £100 to fix. Now been told the sale on a house we're selling is stumbling as the buyer's lender says our tenants (which he's taking on) are students which they're not!
Arghgggggg. I know there are people with far worse problems but this morning I could honestly just give up.
In SCBU they always had trouble giving the babies Gaviscon as it use to block the feeding tubes, can you ask for ranitadine instead?
Wow ISpy what a fabulous weight!
eggs with dd1 who was ff and had gaviscon I had to give it to her in a separate bottle to avoid thickening! As I'm bfing this time if I'm going out I make up a gaviscon in a small tub and give it to her before a feed - you could make one up and add it to the bottle at the last minute.
Just back from baby clinic - 16lb 1oz now, so more than double birth weight. Also seem to be down to just one night feed at 4 am. Got a feeling that there's a growth spurt/sleep regression due soon (he's 12 weeks on Saturday) so prob won't last!
Argh, I hate gaviscon! I made up a bottle to go out with at 7.45, and the gaviscon has thickened the milk it the bottle already and F can't drink it
Had a total of 4hrs sleep last night, why at nearly 11wks has he become such a crap sleeper? I'm exhausted!
Could be.. He's finally asleep in my lap but am now downstairs so can't sleep. Thinking I'm just going to ditch pramactive and eat trash and be fat today as am too bloody tired. I'll go jogging tomorrow morning.
* utopian* we went through a phase of Z being just inconsolable in the evenings until he wore himself out and fell asleep. It only lasted a few days though - hopefully it'll pass soon for you. I wonder if it's a phase where they want to stay up because they are learning more, but are too little to do so without getting tired, and they don't know how to deal with it.
Wow. The Little Mister did a 7 hour stretch last night. What a result!
Seconds, we had a frankly unimpressive poo event yesterday compared to you. Straight after getting off FaceTime with C's (very proper) grandmother and great-grandmother, I fed her. I heard her poo, said to my husband ''Thats a bit stinky!' And before you know it liquid poo has made it out of nappy, through 2 layers of her clothes and all over the freshly washed duvet cover. It was definitely bath time!
Decent sleeps here - down at 8, dream feed at 11.30, up again at 3.45 and 6.15. First time we haven't had a 2am waking in ages. Unfortunately I couldn't get back to sleep after 4
Ah utopian, you'll feel better again soon!
We've had a terrible evening/early night after a perfectly normal day. Very fussy, crying for no reason (normally not much of a crier without obvious hunger/nappy issue) and to sleep at last at 12, then awake every two hours.
Could this be a development stage starting mid evening? (He's coming up to 8 weeks.)
Not helped by my having hurt my shoulder and hand lifting him, so in a lot of discomfort. Don't want to miss pramactive tomorrow/in 6 hours as feeling fat and sh*t after too much chocolate to get me through aforementioned crappy evening, but really tired and have client meeting in the afternoon.
Also crabby with pils for booking summer holiday week in Wales (which they're generously inviting us on for free) without checking dates or location first, as if we're just on hand to deliver their grandchild. Which i know isn't actually the case, they're really kind and just a bit vague and probably didn't think to; just goes to show what a miserable cow I'm being tonight!
On the other hand dh has been wonderful helping settle O and seconds your apocalypse made me laugh out loud while feeding!
seconds
Hope all the ill babies are on the mend. My LOs horrid pussy navel had miraculously cleared up by itself so now the doctor must think I'm a neurotic mother with her pfb!!
Just finishing his feed after first wake of the night, fx he goes back down
