Canary birds. Breeding pair, female making a nest.

We have had our Canary pair for a few months now and the female started nesting about a month ago.

My question is, when will they breed and, subsequently, when will she lay?

I have kept birds before but never a breeding pair. We have them by luck more than judgement, but delighted nonetheless.
