Poor little Amber, has just been 'delivered' to us by our very caring neighbour who had seen her in the road. She is in a very bad way, jaw completely smashed and not moving. DH on way to emergency vets with her now, I don't expect her to come back. Am v sad.

Don't know if it helps, but one of my cats was hit by a car and had a smashed jaw etc aged 1. After a difficult few weeks and lots of wire to hold his jaw together, he survived Smile. He's now 18 and still going strong. Fingers crossed your cat pull through x

Well considering the state she was in, we thought she wouldn't last the 40min drive to the vets. But she did!Grin
She has had facial reconstruction today as all of her skin around her face was hanging off. The swelling on her brain had gone down by this morning too.

She broke quite a few teeth.

The vets are amazed, she is indestructable!

And, she's coming home tomorrow.

We had just bought a chicken coop and run, but we are waiting until mid September to get them, so Amber can stay in there during the day and dog crate over night.

Thanks

The driver didn't stop[envyAngry, luckily my neighbour across the road saw her, picked her up and brought her to us.

Really lucky as someone could have driven over her, she was in the middle of the road.

Oh, and I found out I'm not insured (long story Blush) so now we are very very poor! Sad

natzer Angry at absolute bastard driver! How can anyone be so callous Sad when i was 7 my mum hit a cat who was killed instantly, she then knocked doors every evening for almost 3 weeks to find the owner and apologise! Good on your lovely neighbour

Hope pusscat makes a full recovery! And hope perhaps you can sort the insurance?

Glad Amber is doing ok.

When this happened to my cat he got pretty distressed because he couldn't groom himself (and he absolutely stankBlush). It might be worth getting some cat cleaning wipes, a soft brush and covering the sofa etc

Thanks for the warning madness I will have a look into that, she will stay in the crate for the first week, Its quite big and we will make sure she gets out a few times a day just in the dining room. I have some brushes and plenty of baby wipes.
