What can I do with my cats apart from kick them outside?

Have 3 indoor cats and they are driving me insane. They mooch about for food in the morning as cats do but when they are fed they eat so much so quickly at least one throws up every other day. So when I get up (DP feeds them before work) I have to play find and cat puke before DD does and eats it!

This morning I got up and their litter tray was stinking the downstairs out so I cleaned it (I know pregnant but I am v careful) then one of the little shits goes in it again so I have to clean it again.

The minute we go to bed at night they start fighting with each other and get woken up. They also do this in the middle of the night and can wake up DD.

They also spit cat food on the floor so I have to be careful DD doesn't eat that too.

I seriously have had enough of them right now.

Can you give them biscuits which will slow them down on the scoffing part and then they will not be able to puke it back up? Our cat scoffs the food as it falls out the packet, also with a tendancy to "nut" the packet so it falls on her head.

She also used to poo inside until we just chucked (in a nice way of course) outside through the summer and she learnt to poo elsewhere! (probably next doors garden thinking about the looks they've been giving me!)

Good luck!

I know how you feel as my cat used to be a house cat. When I was pg I bought a 'cat loo' - a litter tray with a lid basically - and put it outside the back door and fitted a catflap. We had couple of accidents at first, but he eventually got the hang of it. If you cant/dont want a cat flap, then try the 'cat loo' indoors at least its covered and holds the smell in!
You can buy them in argos, places like that, only around £12.
I also bought a self feeding cat bowl which has cat biccies stored in all day, all he has to do is to touch side of box and biccies fall out! It got on my nerves when he kept begging for food. This I got from poundland!
It is difficult to please the pets as well as the family!! Good luck!

Sweetkitty - now I know it is no laughing matter but I have to admit to having a little chuckle when I read your post reminds me of when I had my two cats, one a long haired moggy; as well as several times during the day, they would also choose 'bedtime' to have a mad half hour, charging around the house, running up and down the stairs ending in a playfight and I too would get woken up! they would then scratch incessantly on my bedroom door until I tended to them ie gave in to giving a spoonful of food! what used to really get me was all the fur lying around the house after this - had to keep getting hoover out at least three times a day - I can really sympathise

give one to the Cat protection league? Feed them in different places so they eat slower, not worrying about the others eating their food? Get a shed and let them live in there?

Tatt's point about feeding them separately is a good one, if you can manage it. Nice idea that they may be scoffing their food in order to stop the other ones eating it.

Don't think you can really blame them for using the litter tray! But cat flap deffo a good idea.

Please don't leave them out overnight in this weather though. Shut them downstairs if you have to, but don't leave them out - this weather is too cold. Can be fatal.
