I hear it may be hereditary. DS is dreadfully picky about things. I cannot think where he gets it from.

Do check her English books at school, to see if she mentions how she has to help mum with her grammar.

Hmmmm... School noticed DD's pedantry age 4 in reception:

DD: What are we having at fruit time today?
Teacher: It's carrots today
DD: But that's a vegetable!
