yes, I think an annual thrashing would be more appropriate...teach the little buggers how lucky they are the rest of the year.

aww thanks cd - I didn't mean it in a 'woe is me' way but now that I see dd and ds's little faces when the candles on the cake are lit and all their friends are there, it does make me go all gooey inside (and realise that it was worth the effort/torment in the end)

and I always put nasty sweets in the party bag

About to 'host' my first kiddie Birthday Party and thought I'd be really cool about it BUT first I was worrying about there being too many children and now I'm worrying that only a few have RSVP'd. Found myself worrying at the weekend about the party bags and whether I'd made them too boy orientated for the girls!

FGS....I need to get a grip!

My goodness listen to all the party poopers!!!!!!

No, I like them.

It's great for all the mates to get together and run riot outside of school.

I like taking one child to a party and I can spend 2 hours chatting to my mates without stressing about where my 2 year old has run off to next.

Going out with one child....ah, bliss
