Hello, we're currently brainstorming for our niece's birthday in December. She has 10 close friends coming to her house and they're thinking of doing a Xmas themed evening in. For reference they're a lovely bunch of girls, not old for their age, just like hanging out together and doing nice stuff.

Ideas so far include mocktails, crackers, fireworks, party food, watching love actually, posh hot chocolate.

Any cost effective ideas for entertainment?

TIA!

Decorating cup cakes? Buy lots of cheap plain cup cakes , icing and decorations and have a mini bake off show stopper competition.

Split into teams of 3 or 4 then give each group bin bags, duct t ape, fabric ,safety pins, newspaper Tec Tec. The teams split into different rooms then have 30 mins to make the best outfit before a catwalk parade to decide a winner.

With the cupcake decorating idea, one thing we often do is they have to do the first one blindfolded. It can get a little messy but is genuinely hilarious to watch.

My DD was 15 when we did a murder mystery party. You can buy them for teenagers. It went down a storm! We had mocktails and DH put his DJ and bow tie on and acted as butler/waiter all night.
