Crystal ball

After much discussion and changing her mind many times my dd has decided she wants to go to fancy dress (theme is circus)?next weekend as a fortune teller. Have managed to find bits and pieces for costume but really stumped with the crystal ball. Have looked on Internet but not really finding anything. There are some inexpensive ones on eBay but come from China so no chance it be here by Saturday.

Any ideas really appreciated.

Im not sure they would be very tough as didn't get up close and touch one to see what it was made of(glass etc). But Ikea do some small globe lamps - if this detaches from the base that would work - its frosted and has various patterns if i remember correctly. Or if your crafty - make one - use a balloon (or a bowl) and paper mache your shape then decorate with glitter? or some sort of 'galaxy' style print.
