Why can't DH just let the wobbly teeth fall out on their own?

One wobble, and he starts petting his imaginary pliers, with a cackle, and a "Not long now, my pet".

DD2 is now nursing a gap where her admittedly hanging by a thread front tooth used to be. She was fool enough to believe his silky promises of 'just looking', and 'I'm not going to touch it'

Is this a man thing?

My dad used to do this, I hated him for it and wouldn't trust him again afterwards.

DH gave DS a Mars Bar

Ooh just felt a little faint reading this! Think I'd repay him by taking some tweezers to his bikini line and promising it doesn't hurt
Of course I could have made a 'it's only a little prick' joke there, but shall elevate myself above such childishness!

Sounds horrid! Don't think I would have fogiven my dad for that either. DH will now be fully briefed on appropriate loose teeth behaviour this evening before dd starts to lose her baby teeth.

He seems to take it personally if they don't leap out of the gum 24 hours after the first wiggle.

DD would probably have let him haul it out willingly for a Mars Bar

Bugs me though - what's the rush?
