2.3 yr old having nightmares - is this the beginning of a 15 year run of her in our bed????

She was so terrified last night that she ended up in our bed, which is unheard of. We all (including her) are happier when she's in her cot.

I know I'm being selfish but I just can't sleep unless the conditions are just right quiet and I'm not being poked and jabbed. We also have a BF 8 month old who's up god knows how often in the night, so we ended up with a ridiculous situation of 4 of us in the bed from 5:30am and everyone asleep apart from me.

Now - don't get me wrong - I have no intention of refusing entry but I just need to psych myself up for the realistic outcome to this 'new phase'. Should I just accept that this is the beginning of the end start of lots of lovely nights all cuddled up together in blissful slumber?

well... it won't be forever :D i don't know many 18 yr olds who still sleep with their mum lol

but is she willing to go back to bed after she has calmed down? or can you move her back once she is asleep?
